Only fourteen days until the Wenham Museum Sleigh Bell Fair, this is a big fund raising event for the museum. I have managed to put together a variety of items from paintings to decoys, and of course needle felted items as well. I am working twelve hour days to keep up with orders for felted scenes under glass.
I have been fortunate to find some really great antiques to blend with my work, the latest of which are two vintage 1950 flower globes that are now home to a couple of needle felted snowmen. So the lucky new owners are getting very unique pieces of art as well as cool antique glass. Each year I am creating ONE 3D St.Nicholas, it is a big undertaking and will go to one collector that can appreciate the work involved. He is signed, dated, and numbered 1of 1. In between I am filling orders from other vendors, and making ornaments so there will be something in everyones price range. In December I am teaching two ornament classes at A Loom With A View in Newburyport, all of the details are on their web site.
I hope to see all of you in a class sometime! They are fun and relaxing, and Betsys' shop is a great place to take a class and do some holiday shopping. If you are in Portsmouth check out Tulips American Handcrafts, they have a wide variety of artists, (including some of my work.)
